Christy Become Only 3 Time Champ at PRP

October 7-Vanceburg, Ky's Kenny Christy has become the only Dirt Late Model driver to win three Track Championships at Portsmouth Raceway Park (OH). Christy, who picked up championships in 2000 and 2002, said "The sport is getting tougher and tougher each year. These championships are won by consistency and overcoming tough situations. It really is a team sport without, my team and all of our sponsors our season would not have been so successful." Christy credits the inclusion of Jamie & Amanda Lambert who came in 2009 as co-owners of the newly formed Total Sacrifice Racing Team. "Without Jamie & Amanda this season could not have turned out this way," said Christy. Christy Wins PRP Finale
October 5-Kenny Christy was able to cap off his 2009 season at Portsmouth Raceway Park (OH) with a win that would clinch the season points title. Christy, aboard the Jamie & Amanda Lambert owned Rayburn, would lead all 25 circuits around the Southern Ohio 1/3 mile for the win. "This was a really big win for us", said Christy who would on that night sew up the Track Championship making it his third at PRP. Christy Wins Summer Sizzler
June 19-After being postponed for one week due to rain Rocky Top Raceway was able to run the 2009 edition of the Summer Sizzler. Kenny and the entire Total Sacrifice Racing program have continued to get better each week and proved themselves Friday night at RTR by winning the Summer Sizzler prize of $3000. After starting second on the grid beside polesitter Jackie Boggs, Christy kept close behind Boggs and was able to take the lead on Lap 10. Kenny would lead the rest of the way to the checkers followed by Boggs and Eddie Carrier, Jr. This is the first win of 2009 for the Cropper Racing Engines powered, C.J. Rayburn Race Car. Sponsors include: Rayburn Race Cars, Cropper Racing Engines, Pendleton Truck Sales, Doyle Fertilizer, Impact Sign & Apparel, Poske Performance Parts, and Hoosier by Frye.
Total Sacrifice Racing Is Born
For immediate release-Vanceburg Kentucky-Dirt Late-Model driver Kenny Christy will be piloting cars for the newly formed Total Sacrifice Racing. The new race team is a collaborative effort between Team Christy Racing and Lambert Racing, owned by Jamie and Amanda Lambert. Total Sacrifice Racing will be using C. J. Rayburn racecars powered by Cropper Racing Engines. The team is concentrating their efforts for 2009 on racetracks in the Ohio Valley region where Kenny Christy has picked up numerous wins along with two track championships at the famed Portsmouth Raceway Park in Portsmouth Ohio.
